Who is eligible for the GCC residents e-visa? 

You are eligible if you meet the following criteria

    • Your residency visa is valid for at least three months
    • Your passport is valid for at least the next six months
    • Your occupation is among those listed
    • You have medical insurance coverage for your stay in Saudi (to be added during the application process and from Saudi providers only)
    • If you are under 18, your parent has to apply first

What documents are required?

 To successfully apply, make sure you have the following documents at hand

    • Passport photo (digital) with a white background
    • Digital copy of your passport
    • Digital copy of your residence visa in your passport

How much does it cost?

The e-visa costs SAR 300, along with the cost of medical insurance which is part of the eligibility 

How long is my visa valid?

You can apply for one of two visas: Single Entry and Multiple Entry

    • The Single Entry Saudi GCC Residents e-Visa is valid for 90 days from date of issue, and allows you to spend up to 30 days in Saudi
    • The Multiple Entry Saudi GCC Residents e-Visa is valid for one calendar year from date of issue, and allows you to spend a cumulative 90 days in Saudi

My application wasn’t approved — can I get a refund?

Applications are not refundable.

I’m a GCC resident and meet the eligibility criteria. Am I guaranteed to get a visa?

Saudi MOFA will grant the visa based on a review of the application and visas are issued based on various factors.

Application Process

How to apply: Step-by-step

1-Create an account on the Saudi MOFA website:

  1. Go tovisitsaudi.com
  2. Click on ‘Register’ under the ‘Login Of Individual Visitors To Saudi Arabia’ category
  3. Enter your email address, create a password and confirm. Enter the ‘captcha’ (used to stop spam) and click on ‘Register’.
  4. An email will be sent to you containing an activation link
  5. Go to your email and activate your account by clicking the link
  6. The link will take you to a login
  7. Enter your account details that you just registered with,enter the captcha code and then click on “Login”

2-Start the new visa application process

    1. When successfully logged in, you will see a tab “Add a new application” — click it
    2. Read the terms and conditions and once satisfied, click “Agree”

3-Fill out the online form

    1. Select “Tourist” as your visa type
    2. Select “Transport mode”: Air, land, sea or open — detailing how you will get to Saudi
    3. Select the Saudi Mission — in other words, your place of residency
    4. Enter your first and last name
    5. Select your nationality
    6. Check the box stating that the applicant has a valid residence visa in GCC countries for no less than three months
    7. Enter your residence visa UID (unified identification number)
    8. Enter your residence visa expiry date
    9. Select your residence visa issuing country
    10. Select your occupation — you can start typing and the drop- down menu will show various options (Very important: Make sure that the option you select is the same as the occupation listed on your visa, as this is part of the visa eligibility criteria)

4-Upload the required documents

    1. Digital passport-sized photo with a white background
    2. Digital copy of your passport
    3. Digital copy of your residence visa

5-Enter your passport information, which includes:

  1. Passport number
  2. Issuing country
  3. Expiry date
  4. Date and place of birth
  5. Type of passport(Normal)
  6. Date of issue
  7. Marital status
  8. Gender
  9. Address in Saudi (where you will stay)

6-Provide information about your trip

  1. Select your point of entry (where you will enter Saudi, for example Riyadh or Jeddah)
  2. Expected entry date
  3. Tourist visa type (single or multiple entry)
  4. Select if you want to perform Umrah (allowed throughout the year except during Hajj season)
  5. Click ‘Save’

7-Confirm your application

  1. Review your information
  2. If correct, enter your email address and mobile number

8-Select medical insurance

  1. Select a medical insurance provider (mandatory as part of the application process)

9-Payment

  1. Once all of the above is done, you will be prompted to pay for the e-visa using a debit or credit card

10-Complete / receive e-visa

  1. Once completed, track your application at https://visa.mofa.gov.sa/Home/Index
  1. Search for your application by selecting ‘Visa Application’ as inquiry type, and enter your passport number
  2. Once approved your visa will be emailed to you (you are advised to keep a hard copy with you as well when you travel to Saudi)
